You may now see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings if you haven’t already, or if you enjoyed it and want to see it again. The popular and long-awaited Marvel film may now be streamed for free on Disney Plus, instead of the prior $30 rental price. Today is Disney Plus Day, and the streaming service has removed the Premier Access price tag from various movies, making them available for free to Disney Plus users.
We’ll show you how to start streaming Shang-Chi for free, as well as what to expect from the movie. There are no spoilers here, so don’t worry. If you haven’t already signed up for Disney Plus, you can get your first month for $2 right now.
On Disney Plus Day and beyond, here’s how to watch Shang-Chi for free.
On Friday, everyone who has a Disney Plus subscription was able to watch Shang-Chi for free. It will remain free as long as you have a subscription, along with a slew of other high-profile films like Disney’s Jungle Cruise and the Home Alone reboot. Normally, an extra $30 is added to the membership fee for Disney Plus.
If you already have a Disney Plus membership, simply search for Shang-Chi and tap Play like any other movie. It’ll most likely appear on the Home page as well. You’ll need to sign up for a subscription if you don’t already have one; you may cancel at any time.
Subscribing can be done in one of three ways:
- Subscription to Disney Plus on a month-to-month basis ($2 for the first month, then $8 per month)
- Subscription to Disney Plus for a year ($80): This option lowers your monthly charge to $6.67 if you prepay for a year of Disney Plus.
- Bundle of Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus ($14 per month): This triple-shot of Disney-owned web services would cost around $21 if purchased separately. However, getting them all at once saves you $7 each month.
