Box Office: Bheeshma Parvam, starring Mammootty, earns over 80 crores worldwide, making it the fourth highest-grossing Mollywood film ever

Bheeshma Parvam, directed by Mammootty, has been doing well in Malayalam theatres since its premiere at the beginning of the month. At the end of the third weekend, it had grossed around Rs. 46.50 crores in India and approximately $4.40 million (Rs. 33.50 crores) internationally, for a worldwide total of approximately Rs. 80 crores. Though there would be competition from the release of RRR from Friday forward, it is still possible for it to achieve a full run of Rs. 50 crores in India.

The Amal Neerad-directed and produced film is currently the fourth most popular Mollywood film worldwide, and will shortly overtake Kurup to become the third most popular.

The film grossed approximately Rs. 2.50 crores in its third weekend in India, bringing its total to approximately Rs. 46.50 crores. Kerala accounts for the majority of this, with Rs. 2.30 crores in its third frame, bringing the state’s total to Rs. 42.50 crores. The film has now surpassed Drishyam to become the fourth biggest grossing picture in the state, trailing only Pulimurugan, Baahubali 2, and Lucifer. Outside of Kerala, it did decently, though not as well as other recent films like Hridayam or Kurup. In Karnataka, it made Rs. 2 crores, while in Tamil Nadu, it made Rs. 90 lakhs.

The following is a list of Bheeshma Parvam’s box office collections in India:

Rs. 33.80 crores in the first week (8 days)
Rs. 10.20 crores in the second week
Rs. 50 lakhs the 3rd Friday
Rs. 90 lakhs the 3rd Saturday
Rs. 110 lakhs the 3rd Sunday

In total Rs. 46.50 crores

Internationally, the film has generated $2.4 million in the UAE, which is Mollywood’s most important offshore center, with roughly $4 million in the Middle East altogether. With an estimated gross of $500K, it is the highest-grossing Indian film in Saudi Arabia to date.
